GigaBrary Legacy: Where It All Began
Before the novelettes, there were the works that started it all. Renee wrote a collection of poems and stored them on a USB flash drive that she called a gig (gigabyte) stick, as a personal digital library.
Combining gig with library, she created the name GigaBrary and, in 2008, launched Gigabrary.com to focus on short stories and educational materials for young readers. They remain a cherished part of the GigaBrary family as Renee's earliest published writings.
About the Author
Renee Prince, the author behind the stories, spends her retirement writing books, interspersed with watching sports and occasionally navigating her grandsons' schedules. After writing a car crash memoir for PTSD self-therapy, Renee switched to writing drama novelettes as a meaningful way to continuously pursue her lifelong passion for storytelling.
Selecting topics relatable to real life events, she fictionalizes the stories for dramatic effect, with a little humor. Renee's novelettes are written for the adult reader who finds truth in fiction, and savors a well-crafted story that lingers well after the last page.
