GigaBrary Road Map is a planning guide for teens and young adults to select a career goal and identify steps needed to reach the goal.
Included in the booklet is a summary of job descriptions for over 40 occupations, including:
1) Education and training needed
2) Licenses and certifications required
3) Median annual wages for each occupation.
The Road Map for the journey is divided into four parts:
1. Goal - Type of work you'd like to do
2. Tools - Skills and Education needed
3. Steps - How you can get the tools
4. Timeline - When to begin and end your journey.
To give GigaBrary Road Map guides to teens for assistance with 1) selecting a job goal - the type of work they would like to do in the future; and 2) identifying and tracking the steps they can take to reach their goal. Students learn how to plan, set goals, and create a timeline.
